Augusta Fire Protection District
The Augusta Fire Protection District protects over 70 square miles of southwestern St. Charles County with two stations and 25 volunteer firefighters. Station 1 is located on Missouri Highway 94 in Augusta. Station 2 is located on Highway 94 in Defiance. The fire department was created in 1904.
Improved Insurance Rating! - As of 2026, the district was upgraded to an ISO Class 5 rating with a Class 5Y if more than 500 feet from a fire hydrant.
